Abiding Bridge lets you sell a game without having to create a company.
How does that work exactly?
As of today, whenever we wish to sell a game made by multiple people, it's often said that it is needed to create a company. A company is a kind of business that's implied to be run by multiple members, or associates. The most known ones are SASs (french simplified joint-stock company) and LTDs.
Creating a company can be seen as something troublesome. It's time consuming, asks for entrepreneurial skills, and it's costly, even if the company isn't getting much benefits. Furthermore, it's a long term commitment.
Depending on your situation, a company isn't the best solution for you. For example, if you hate administrative tasks, or if your goal is to release one game to start out, and decide only after its release if you want to make more or not, then maybe creating a company is not a good idea.
We help you sell your game without creating a company, using other creative industries as comparison. For example, if a scripwriter and an artist agree to create a comic, they won't create a company. They will instead individually take an artist-author status and will sign a contract with a publisher. Then the publisher will sell their creation and redistribute copyrights to them. The two artists aren't stuck with each other (they can make another comic with someone else), nor with the publisher (they can sign other projects with other publishers), nor with themselves (they can stop making comics).
If you want to sell a game with Abiding Bridge, we can help anyone working on your game have an artist-author status, we're the one selling it, and we will redistribute copyrights to everyone.
